GLEC Framework implementation

“You can’t manage what you don’t measure”

The GLEC Framework supports the measurements of logistics emissions with the subsequent elements of reporting, verification and then using the results to realise reductions of emissions and creating value.

Start the implementation of the GLEC Framework today!

1. Align with the GLEC Framework principles and default factors

  • Carry out a GLEC Framework Gap Analysis to identify and fill gaps between a company's current logistics GHG emission calculation and reporting practices against the GLEC Framework>
  • Adopt GLEC Framework default factors to estimate scope 3 emissions when primary data is not available

2. Build a roadmap to accuracy

  • Make a plan to address data needs from partners or IT system upgrades in order to use the most accurate emissions values

3. Use results to begin taking climate action

  • Identify emissions hotspots in regions, modes or supply chains
  • Collaborate with transport partners to identify system, route and network improvements
  • Track, report and celebrate emissions reductions!
