Four partners of the Green Trucks China Project – Beijing Transport Energy and Environment Center (BTEC), SFC, Xianglong Logistics and Bridgestone – witnessed the tire change on three tractors today. Over the next months, tire wear, traveled miles and fuel use will be recorded and compared with trucks that use conventional tires. This will help build confidence of carriers to invest in high quality tires.
SFC selected high quality tires as a first technology to be taken to scale embedded within broader tire and fleet management, which could reduce 20 million tons of carbon dioxide from trucks in China annually. For more information on the Green Trucks Chine Project see >
