SFC works with a Smart Truck Fleet Management Council of representatives of leading programs and initiatives dedicated to supporting road freight operators to adopt energy saving solutions. These include:

 

David Cebon is the Director of the Centre for Sustainable Road Freight. He teaches Mechanical Engineering at Cambridge University Engineering Department since 1985. Professor Cebon is an expert on dynamics, safety, maneuverability and fuel consumption of heavy vehicles.  He is also the Research Director of the Cambridge Vehicle Dynamics Consortium, and a past long-term Chairman of the US TRB/LTPP Expert Task Group on Traffic Data.

 

 

Mark specializes in the automotive industry, the truck industry, the public service, environmental programs and strategic consulting.

Mark has led many energy-related projects focused on vehicles, fuels, emissions and energy. He has extensive experience in assessing vehicle technologies and alternative transport fuels (including via fleet trials) to determine fleet suitability, commercial viability, environmental benefits, and overall market potential.


 

 

Mike with 30 years of experience, is the Executive Director of the North American Council for Freight Efficiency and leads the Trucking Efficiency Operations for the Rocky Mountain Institute / Carbon War Room.  Mike’s specialty is brokering green truck collaborative technologies and how that scales into the world.

 

 

 

Brian is an independent researcher/Consultant / Chartered Engineer / Chartered environmental; all in one with over thirty years’ of experience in transport, energy and climate change policy, sustainability, vehicle safety, strategic analysis, professional associations, programme leadership and managing people, projects and resources.


 

 

Dr. Façanha is a transportation engineer with 15 years of experience. He is an expert in the design, modeling, and evaluation of transportation emission reduction strategies and policies. At his current role at the International Council on Clean Transportation (ICCT), Dr. Façanha leads ICCT’s Green Freight program that aims to improve the real-world energy efficiency and environmental performance of freight systems.

 

Conor Molloy, is an independent energy advisor with an MSc in Energy Management and Renewable energy from University of Ulster, he is a Certified Energy Manager (CEM), Measurement & Verification professional (CMVP) and trainer for ISO50001. He has trained over 150 Lead Assessors in Transport Energy Auditing for ESO (UK) and across the EU, led the publication of EN 16247-4 Europe’s transport energy audit standard and contributed to ISO50004. Since 2005, Conor’s has been helping business save fuel and manage their energy use for profit and reduced emissions.  Accepted as a member of the Association of Energy Engineers, CILT, FTAI, IMCA and EVO.  He is a registered lead ESOS assessor (UK) and registered energy auditor (Ireland).

 



Chris is a road freight transport specialist, a highly experienced project and programme manager, with 23 years’ operational, advisory, representation and consultancy experience within the UK, European and overseas freight transport industries.

 

Mr. Tesler has over 34 years dedicated to consulting in logistics & industrial processes and infrastructures. He is also the founder & CEO at TGI Argentina S.A. Previously, he has been a Senior Manager at Andersen Consulting (Accenture now) in Buenos Aires and in Madrid, where he supervised diverse strategic and operations consulting projects oriented to supply chain, distribution and inventories in industrial and distribution companies.

Dr Martin Tanco is head of the Center of Innovation in Industrial Management at Universidad de Montevideo, Uruguay. He earned his PhD in Industrial Engineering from the University of Navarra and holds an Industrial Engineering degree. He has been actively conducting and publishing research in freight transportation, design of experiments and lean manufacturing. He is researcher Level I at ANII. Recently, he has led a project funded by the National Agency for Research and Innovation (ANII) on "Evaluation of Technologies for Energy Efficiency in Road Freight Transportation", with the collaboration of various public and private sector institutions.
