Our Mission
To collaborate with our global partners to quantify impacts, identify solutions, and propagate logistics decarbonization strategies.
Our Goal
Guide the global logistics industry in tracking and reducing its greenhouse gas emissions by one billion tonnes by 2030 and to reach zero emissions by 2050 or earlier, consistent with a 1.5° future.
We achieve our goals by
- Enabling performance measuring of GHG logistics emissions to drive transparency and accountability of organizations.
- Facilitating solution pathways and catalyzing collaboration between logistics stakeholders to share knowledge and create impact together.
- Educating, training, and scaling-up organizations in the logistics sector to accelerate the uptake of decarbonization solutions. This allows our members and partners to accelerate their action to reduce greenhouse gas emissions in the freight sector and to collectively meet the Paris Climate agreement and the Sustainable Development Goals.

Smart Freight Buyers Alliance
The Sustainable Freight Buyers Alliance (SFBA) unites freight buyers and freight decarbonization initiatives to shift to zero emissions freight transport.
Clean Cargo
Clean Cargo is a collaborative partnership between ocean container carriers, freight forwarders, and cargo owners.
Clean Air Transport
Clean Air Transport program aims to unite first movers on sustainable aviation in the freight sector, leveraging increased transparency of the GHG emissions from air freight services to drive decarbonization measures across the air transport sector.
Smart Freight Shippers Alliance
The Smart Freight Shippers Alliance (SFSA) China is a group of shippers (or buyers of freight) who work together towards a compliant, efficient, and sustainable China freight sector.

Smart Freight Centre China
Smart Freight Centre has been operating in China since 2014, with a view to understand how logistics emissions reductions need to be realized by multinational companies operating in emerging economies and given China’s logistics sector is a large and growing contributor to the global GHG emissions.
Smart Freight Centre India
Smart Freight Centre India (SFC India) aims to minimize the climate impact of the freight and logistics sector in India. Targeting one of the world's largest freight markets, SFC India recognizes the urgent need to address the projected increase in CO₂ emissions.
