LogEC's alignment with the GLEC Framework is made official via its accreditation

In July 2019 LogEC achieved accreditation from SFC as a calculation tool that provides emissions calculations in conformance with the GLEC Framework. LogEC is one of the first GHG emissions calculation tools to have received this accreditation from SFC.

Since more than 9 years LogEC is widely used by many multinationals around the world. Many of these companies expressed interest in the use of the GLEC Framework; therefore BearingPoint, the organization behind LogEC, wished to ensure the alignment of its tool with the GLEC Framework. BearingPoint now introduced the GLEC Framework in addition to the already embedded methodologies EN 16258 and French regulation. With the support of the GLEC Framework users of LogEC are now enabled to include emissions from logistics sites, which closes an important gap to assess supply chains holistically.

With the completion of the accreditation process, SFC confirms that LogEC can provide calculations for freight transport and logistics operations that are in methodological conformance with the GLEC Framework © ®
This accreditation also means that multinational shippers and logistics service providers are able to implement the GLEC Framework by using LogEC.
