About the course
What does the course cover?
Are you curious about the various elements needed to lead logistics decarbonization in your organization? The course will approach logistics decarbonization through a change leadership perspective, applying learnings from change management, leadership and stakeholder engagement to turn your organization’s decarbonization ambitions and plans into real, measurable action.
Each session is dedicated towards a specific topic and covers general theory, real-world cases and hands-on exercises.
The training will take place from October 5 - October 26, 2023.

After completing this course, you will have:
- Learned to have a “change agent” mindset and leadership skills
- Gained a more vigorous toolbox to mobilize internal and external stakeholders
- Developed a clear understanding of how to change processes and conversations to advance the logistics decarbonization agenda
Learning objective: participants will learn how to create a sense of change and urgency in their organization and learn tangible tools that will help them successfully drive logistics decarbonization within and across their organization.
Who is the course for?
The course is particularly well suited for project and logistics managers or sustainability managers who have started developing and implementing a Sustainable Logistics Roadmap into their organization.
The general understanding of the GLEC framework, logistics carbon footprint and sustainable logistics roadmaps covered by the other courses offered by the Smart Freight Centre are beneficial to the training. We encourage organizations to join the course with at least 2 participants allowing for sparring and collaboration in the practical exercises.
To obtain the certificate, participants will be required to attend all courses and deliver a personal reflection paper on the topic.

The training will take place from Thursday October 5 until Thursday October 26, 2023.
How much does the course cost?
Price depends on participant group size:
- EUR 1200 for early bird sign up (until Sunday 3 September 2023)
- EUR 1400 regular sign up (as of Monday 4 September) 2023)
